do you know this car

Afternoon, I was wondering if you know something about the old toyotas crown, especially the diesel ones; they may be the right cars for a comparison between them and the diesel w123s

I own three VW / Audi TDI's. All have rubber timing belts...I've replaced two of the three with no problems at 120k miles each.

I have only seen one here in the states. My cousin had one back in the seventies when he was making candles for a summer job. Sort of usa like but uglier.

Japanese diesels of the day are typically pretty easy to work on ana analagous to merc diesels in tech. Parts might be difficult to source in a pinch, but if you are willing to wait for overseas parts it isnt a problem. Up until recently I daily drove an imported JDM mitsubishi diesel for 3 years (with an engine never offered in the states) and have no regrets. I did have to order parts from EMEA here and there though.
