Speedometer on w140: Where does it get it's signal?

The speedometer on my 93' 300sd is not currently working. Does anyone know where the sensor for is on w140's?

Should use the left front speed sensor. L6/1 is the LF sensor, A1 is the speedometer.

Do you have a blink box to read codes? Do you know how to read codes?

Thanks. I made one of those years ago for an e320. Will check into it.

Same thing should work in the 38 pin connector in the w140. Just figure out which pin is for ABS and count the flashes. There are diagnostic guides available online.

I’m guessing you’ll see that the speed sensor is failed.

The clusters on these cars are also known to go bad…
