Engine build date information?

Hello,
I have seen some resources on this but nothing definitive. Anyone know the build date of this engine? To me, it looks like 08 J(Jan/July/June?) 1998. It's important as I want to import this to the US once it's 25 years old. I think everybody should start importing the OM605, the 606s little brother. They share lots of parts but the 605 is a bit shorter/lighter, but can make similar power for those hunting for it. |
Yes the 605 is awesome off roaders love them.
