Just wondering
Like the title says.....Just wondering, what exactly is it that has made the OM606 engine unreasonably expensive? I'm seeing asking prices in the 4K to 5K range for used examples with "under 250K miles". Please, enlighten me, is it power output, reliability, ease of maintenance, etc......

It’s the demand for guys wanting to tear apart the w210 which was a great chassis to swap the 606 into their rat junkyard mobile. I’d buy everyone of these w210s with the 606 if I could. I won’t sell any of mine. If I “did” hypothetically, I’d do a 100 percent interview on the buyer.
