Windshield rubber for 1983 300CD
 

Is the rubber the same for a CD as for the 4 door? I think it is the same. Where's the best place to get the rubber?

I wish. I could remember the German link , I’ve tried to screen shot my saves from now on but this one escapes me , they are rare , maybe an aftermarket supplier has rallied to the rescue by now .A year ago I looked into this sight which had some overseas .

Maybe a good installer could cut down a 300d gasket ,cut to fit , glue it together, come back the next day and install , it’s about no leaks , if yours is dried out I can’t see how you could lose if it’s done right .

If you can find someone who can take their time , most installers rush because it’s a volume type industry , like tinting . I suggest inside a garage , yours preferable , talk out all the details first . Might be a higher price in the end but it’s probably the last time for the car most likely . These cars last so long it’s probably one of the biggest issues as they age , seals and gaskets .

Just curious, so the glass is different from the four door too?

Front or rear?

The rear glass is different for sure.

Why not go check an online EPC to be definite?
