Suspension Upgrade 300cd I just put it in my bookmark. Those look like MB part numbers to me! Good Luck! BTW, the thread starter is the guy who owns that silver 280CE w/ the CLK wheels!

Hmmmm...... No responses, eh? Us deezl groupies tend to be on the conservative side. Lowering a fine old CD probably isn't real popular here Try posting the question over in the Performance Paddock or even in the Open Discussion forum. Might be a few gassers that can help you. I personally would like to see a pix or two if you ever get it to work.

Hey,
Im going to roll the fenders in the next week or so, then I will be cutting my springs since I already have another set of springs I can use if I screw up. DO NOT HEAT SPRINGS. I am going to roll the fenders. I have been trying to buy a fender roller because tire racks wait is 6 months. I cant seem to find where to buy one, so I am going to roll my fenders with my baseball bat from high school. Ill let you know how it goes. Austin

you probably don't want to hear this, but please bear with me.
30 yrs ago when I was in high school, jacked up '57 Chevies, '63 Corvettes and Roadrunners with huge meats were in style. Countless hotrodders cut the fenders to accommodate the tires, some guys even welded steel thinwall conduit to the enlarged openings, then bondoed the rest to make it look factory. Then they grew tired of the cars, sold them and bought something else. 30 years later, those cars that were a dime a dozen in junkyards are now much more scarce, and the ones that were modified in such a way are the last choice to restore, even now. Bone-stock, unmodified cars command the best prices, especially after the low riders butchered most of the decent cars like the '64 Impalas out there. What's the difference with your CD? Simple- They built tens or hundreds of thousands of the muscle cars and the 57 chevies. Mercedes only made about 2,500 of the CD each year. Someday you will get tired of the CD you butchered, and that will be one less bone-stock CD that someone else would have wanted. Please butcher a rice rocket, they are expendable. CDs are not.
