OM602 Injection pump elements
Hello,
I purachesed a cat in a bag. Was told it as an OM617 M pump with 7.5mm elements, turns out it is an OM602. :( Not versed enough to tell from pics until I was trying to install it. Problem is I bought it 6 months ago and the person is gone in the wind. Question is, are the elements interchangable? Can I use them in my OM617 pump and "get something" out of this fiasco. THanks |
I don't suppose you need an extra M-Pump since you have a euro spec G-Wagon, as they all are. I am sitting on one here, if that is a needed part.

I would like to build the engine and swap it without the need to swap pumps afterwards. |
The stock OM617 turbo injection pump is not an M pump. as far as whether aa 617 m pump will accept OM602 elements, I don't know. Some of the people over in the performance paddock might be able to help. I don't think just replacing the elements on a 617 M-pump will get you very far. Other work has to be done as well as far as I understand. I do have an OM617 M pump that I will sell at a relatively inexpensive price.

Can you PM me your price for the pump. THank you Martin |
Calibration of the fuel injection pump is needed after the elements are replaced.
