Help!! 300D auto trans harness

Need help from some of you electrical genuises. I'm putting the 5cyl engine and auto trans from a 78 300D into a 78 240D and hit a snag. The auto trans has 2 electrical connectors attached to it and the 240 body has none.
I know the 240 only had a connector in the console at the shifter for the backup lights. But according to my haynes manual, the large connector on the drivers side of the trans(on the 300) is for the kickdown/ reverse lockout .Not sure if backup lights are here too. Manual doesn't say what single wire to passenter side of trans is for. There's also a switch behind the accelerator pedal that's activated at WOT. Will I need to move that to the 240 body also? Any ideas? I appreciate any help you can give and I know gridge is gotta be tired of me bugging him. Thanks guys.
