Nozzels
I can't recall who's the manufacturer of these nozzels. Can anyone identify them from the symbol?

There is some infomation on counterfeit Bosch injector nozzles in this thread. I don't know if it is enough to tell if yours are counterfeit or not.
Diesel Injector Cleaning DIY The below pic is from post 95. The old thread is from 2014. In the picture you see the real Bosch injector nozzle pintel that has a flat area called a facet. Apparently, the counterfeit nozzles back in 2014 did not have that facet. Message to anyone. The 2 parts of the injector nozzles are mated together. Mixing them normally ruins the new nozzle. You could be lucky and have real Bosch ones.

Also remember that the “original” nozzles from Germany had stamped markings. At some point thereafter German made Bosch went to laser engraved markings. I called these second generation nozzles to distinguish between the two. Thereafter the same equipment used in Germany was farmed off across the border to France then India. French made or Indian made nozzles interestingly had both stamped and laser engraved and now I think it’s only laser engraved for Indian made. Monark nozzles are stamped from memory but M S has a private label nozzle manufactured by Monark which I think are graphic labeling in nature
You can buy Chinese made nozzles for around .52 cents a piece but be prepared for virtually everyone failing right out of the tube. For another.50 cents you can have any labeling you want. Chinese made nozzles have some of the hardest steel out there but its properties invariably result in the pintle freezing in the bore. If you do find a treasure trove of OEM German made Bosch they are worth a premium to the aficionado of MB restorations. Folks in Australia pay a super premium for the installation services for these. |
