Rotated Engine Backwards
I was starting to adjust my valves in a turbo 617, and made a bonehead move. I rotated the engine a few degrees backwards. Maybe about 10 degrees. The cam didn't move. I know the turbo engines have a ratcheting chain tensioner. So do I need to reset the tensioner or no need to worry? Thanks!

Did you try turning it over clockwise after realizing the mistake? How did it feel when turning over clockwise? You may be ok.

Yeah, I finished adjusting the valves turning it the correct way. Everything felt fine.

If you didn't hear or feel anything click or jump and it rotates fine I think it's good to go and would not be concerned.

Unless the chain tensioner is broken you will be fine, can not jump any gears.
