Would the interior of a 1988 420sel swap into a 85 300sd?

Gen I and Gen II swap from what I can remember:

Fronts seats will swap but you have to do some rewiring.
If you're just swapping the the seat skins it's a straight swap.
Gen II has electric headrest in front. The rear seats are a straight swap.
Rear hat tray will swap and the Gen II car includes a third brake light which you'll need to wire in.

The center wood shifter console swaps but the window switches have a different plug.
The front door panels will fit, but I think the rear ones are a little longer on the SEL??

Anything else you were going to swap out?

The console will swap. If your seat electrics work swap over the whole lower frame, no
rewiring except for possible head rest.
