Front Brake Pads...Easy Job
Swapped the front brake pads this weekend. I used the attached thread as instructions. The key was the great set of instructions by my repair GURU, Jim Smith. Opening the bleeder valves when compressing the pad/piston was the hot set-up. 45 min per side and the old 300D is stopping beautifully, no pull, no squeal, right on the money.

I remember the first time I put pads on a Benz. I had absolutely no idea what I was into and allowed all day one Saturday to put pads on my wifes '72 250. I was done in less than an hour. That was one of my many "falling in love" days with a Benz.

I agree
These cars are so straightforward that it a joy to see the engineering that went into such a nice design. It is not a job that I would have tackled on my other cars or past cars, but with the beauty of Mercedes design and the help of this site I got it done in short order successfully.
