Upper control arm ball joint boot

Hi,
I have a 1980 240d
Does anyone know where I can find just the boot that covers the ball joint in the upper control arm?
Both of mine are torn and they were replaced just couple years ago. Joints are still good though.

There is generic boots on eBay. You need to take some measurements for dimensions. Look for tie rod boots.

The other way to go would be to go to a Russian parts site and use that to get the part number of the boot. Use only the number and go shopping with that part number.

The other method would be to search through the old threads on upper control arms and see if one happens to have the part number.

The only boots I can find, anywhere, are the tie rod end boots for my 1980 240d

Outside of a cv axle boot, the only replacement boots seem to be for tie rod ends.

Do you think those boots will fit the ball joint in the upper control arm?
These things are hard to find.

Tie rod boots will not fit on a ball joint. The ball joints are not overly expensive, you may have to buy a ball joint to get a correct boot. The MBZ Classic Center may be worth a call to source a boot.

This is a thread about using polyurethane boots as replacements.
I haven't done this myself.

The boots sold on eBay are generic boots. You need to know the dimensions you need to use them. So, while Mercedes sized tie rod boots may be too large that does not mean other vehicles don't use smaller tie rod boots.
