Is your suspension perfect
Does anyone consider their suspension is prefect condition? As much as perfect is possible in an unperfect world.
With new bushings, damper assorted thrust arms, control arms and new Michelins my 124 1987 300 TD is so much fun. Just a thought. |

if not perfect it's about as close as I can get it. I would put it at 99% with the only thing that will need to be replaced are the lower ball joints. No play but the boots are split so it's only a matter of time. Everthing else has been replaced in the last 3 years I have owned it including new shocks. Rides and handles like a new car.

The PO of my SD had the complete front end rebuilt as far as I can see, along with new shocks all aound. The thing is as stable as can be. Only thing I do need to do in the future is see if I can tighten up my steering box. It's not bad, but on rough roads it wanders a bit.
