anyone have any idea about this one?
my 83' 300 sd has this wire coming from a hole in the center console thats covered with a spring and foam and it just hangs there (actually tyed around my brake line)
it dont seem to go anywhere the wire is black or at least it is now to much oil to really tell, but i think its part of the kick down switch possibly hooks up somewhere on the tranny? but where?

Could it be the climate control thermostat?
I think it is normally mounted in the centerr of the dash somewhere. I do not have one in my car but I rememebr someone talking about this before.
