Can someone tell me what the arcs in this photo represent?
Usually a single arc, they come & go sporadically. Such an arc is pictured, but not mentioned in the owners manual.

When you are using cruise control, the arc will reflect your speed. Anything else and I'm pretty sure it's glitching. Mine every now will flash the whole length....I've learned just to ignore it.

Mystery solved! Thanks! i figured it was errant electronics, which one can get pretty good at ignoring:)

The fix is rather simple, remove lower panel below steering wheel, locate N93 this bridges can B with can C buses ,key off disconnect the 2 eternity connections clean it all out reassemble. Moisture collects on this module due to its mounting and causes issues with the halo and a few other things. I'd be fixing my halo buddy!

They're for the engaged cruise control.

My son’s W211 exhibited this behavior. I went to the junk yard and found another cluster and swapped the LCD out. It wasn’t terribly difficult. I didn’t document the swap but the disassembly was intuitive.

Not sure if the LCD itself was the issue or just jostling the connections around helped.

Worked great for the several months until the engine met its untimely death.

Definitely also want to check that Central Gateway under the drivers dash, had that problem too. Turned the car into a potato.
