1972 220D Headlight

my hight beam on the right sode burned out...I was looking at the lens and I would swear that I can use the same lens from the pre 1980 vw rabbits with round lights?

Can I?

I think you can.
For the US spec lights on the 115 it was the ordinary high/low combination, 7~ inch sealed beam available most parts/discount stores. The non us had a separate bulb, reflector, lens deal that you would just replace bulbs.

You may be better off with new halogen lamps than with junkyard bulbs -- they are available at all auto parts stores, price between 7 and 12 bucks.

ahhh to late!

I took a pair off the car for 5 bucks so ill just keep these till they burn out.
