How can I adjust my sunroof to accommodate the new seal?
 

I put a new sunroof seal on my 1991 300d W124 now about 2 years ago. I got a MB genuine seal, but it's thicker than the old one since it's all nice and new rubber. The only problem is, the sunroof won't open because the seal is thick. I have the flip up capability from the sunroof, but not the open sliding sunroof.

What do I need to do to fix this, and how do I do it? Someone said I would need to adjust the moving sunroof up or down to accommodate the thicker seal.
