Source for Torpedo Fuses?

Hoping all is well. I have been on the Pelican Porsche forum for over 20yrs. Just recently our family has a new member - a 1985 300TD. She is very clean and rust free.


I am looking for a few odds ends to keep in the glovebox like fuses. What is a good place to source these fuses?


I read a few reviews on Amazon about the torpedo plastic part melting. Should I be looking for ceramic ones or a certain brand?

The plastic on the cheap fuses melts before the metal fuse strip would melt and causes them to fail premature.
I also found out that is not confined to the torpedo fuses. I had bought some regular fuses for my 1992 chevy van from the 99 Cent store. And the plastic melted, and the fuse metal did not melt. That cut off the ignition.

So, I had to go out and buy better quality fueses.
