What's the process of changing the rear suspension subframe mounts?

I did this not too long ago....if I can recall...

Just remove the bolts and pry the subframe down. There is enough room to then remove the rubber subframe bushings. They are hard to remove and harder to replace but it can be done. When replacing, I used syl-glide and a big c-clamp. Don't use any type of lube that isn't compatable with rubber.

Sorry, I don't remember if I had to jack the car up to do this but usually, when working on any suspension part, I get it off the ground and carefully block it up there.

Now if you really want to be challenged, replace the rear control arm bushings. That almost killed me.

Nic, literally or figuratively?? Was the job that hard or did the car fall down on you?

Figuratively, no real danger if car is properly blocked just very hard to get to the rear control arm bushings. They are kind of hidden in there. I also had to make a tool to remove the old bushings. Hard to describe but basically a short piece of exhaust pipe with different sized washers/nuts and a center treaded rod. That was used to push out the old bushings and push in the new ones. If someone decides to replace their rear control arm bushings, I can be more specific about the tool requirements.

Also had to compress the rear springs to do this job. All in all, not my favorite project on the car.
