Tach and the turbo diesel
 

I just had to comment how much fun being behind the wheel of my W123 is!
How many diesel cars are equipped with a tach to watch that thing work its A$$ off! I love flooring it banging it through all 3 shifts, illl let it rip after the first/second shift, alll the way to 4350rpms each time. Some may think im a nut, but until somebody lives with one of these cars, they won't understand. These cars are some much fun, yet enjoyable to drive.
MERCEDES: You hit the pinnicle with your W123 turbodiesels!!!

We had a Land Cruiser Sahara 4.2L Turbodiesel last time. That thing was fast but the diesel did not have that characterful sound of the OM617!

I agree! The engine sounds amazing when it's wound out!
