Question Clicking noise near glovebox in a 190D 2.5

Hello to all,

I have a 1986 190D 2.5 no turbo and since the first days that i bought that car i ve been having this little problem whenever the car is rolling (never occurs on idle). The problem is i hear a relay clicking near the glovebox and it seems to disapear when i turn off the climate control by pressing the key '0' which stops the fan.

There is a bunch of relays behind the battery and im very suspicious that it could be one of them. They all have nice contacts (i cleaned em up and put some electrical grease so they are preserved) but the problem is still there.

Is there anybody who ever had this problem or anybody who possibly knows where does it come from???

Thank you in advance

I think you have encountered a problem peculiar to the 201's, the click of death for the climate control. I remember reading about the click and which acuator it is, but can't remember for the life of me right now. Someone more savvy in the 201's will likely chime in.
