92 300D AC Temp Control problems

92 300D a/c was working fine and all of a sudden fan is not slowing down as it once did. If I set temp @ 68 degrees and move wheel toward 75 degrees. The blower starts blowing harder cold air. If I mess w/ wheel sometimes I can get things back into control.

I read the post on checking the fan for temp sensor and will try it..

PS
new pushbutton panel has been replaced recently

Thanks in advance
Wayne

Mine has been doing that ever since I bought it a year ago except the air wouldn't come out of center vent unless I turned that dial closer to inside temp. I'm not sure if it is designed that way. I got tired of messing with that temp. dial so I disabled one of the vacuum line last weekend. Now, I get air out of the center at any temperature I want.
