'81 300 sd window
anyone out there ever replace the little window in the rear passenger door? Phil said that the window could be had for about 30 bucks but that it is a major PITA to replace. Any help/advice/directions would be greatly appriciated!

It can be done. Do a search on here with my name with 300SD. I just recently replaced a right rear window and part of that procedure is to remove the window you want to replace. Not too hard.
Remove interior panel of door, remove section of window channel to expose phillips head screw to allow removal of chrome "divider" between windows (window has to be in down position), remove divider and while straddling the door with one hand on the outside and one on the inside push the window in question toward the front of the car. It will pop out and you are now able to replace it. Installation is reverse of above. Let me know if you have anymore questions. I don't consider it any more a pia than replacing the head gasket on a 104 engine.

Hey, Jim! Thanks for the how-to on that...I'm going to be helping a friend here in town do the exact same thing on his 126 as soon as we can get together.
