'64 190D Camper for sale (check this out!)

Hey Bill, here's another 190D for ya. Maybe you can convert the one you have to match this one?

That is so wrong, on so many levels. Granted it's unique, but that is just wrong. The car is from 60's but the camper portion is from the 70's. Of course when that conversion was done, that car was just another used car, not the classic that it would of been now, without the conversion.

OK that beats the '75 300D's that someone has in our town, one is a supercab pickup c/w aluminum checkerplate box,the other is a 4 door roadster/convertible.No I'm serious

What wrong with you guy's???

That thing is just beautiful....

I did all I could do to convince my wife of how much we needed to have such a unique vehicle (right now), to no avail

I really would love to have it. Years ago we had a Toyota micro motorhome, about the same size. We got alot of use out of it, even on short day trips. Its nice to go apple picking, to a lake or even fishing with all the comforts of home.

And a diesel no less.... Someone in the group should snatch this thing.

Actually, I have a home for the beast. It located fairly close to our property in the Northwoods and would make a handy makeshift hunting cabin. Now if I can just convince the Missus.

Maybe it was one of those rare, South African export only, 190D pick-ups prior to conversion??????

Paul, on the dash there is a warning label which says " level and downhill operation only " ... if you take it to the beach you have to just leave it there ...

Love it or hate it, it's an attention getter. If I had the green, I would seriously consider it - as much for the shock value as for the oddity factor. I do wonder what was going through the minds of the people who did that conversion.

We had fun laughing at it here at work though.

Looks like you would have to take the camper off in order to change the taillight bulbs.

It appears entirely likely that the man what built it comes with it. He must have built the thing around himself. You get the kitchen and the cook.

Hey Mccan,

Wouldn't that thing be great at our next diesel meet??? We'd have our kitchen on wheels...some real food at the meet.

Maybe we can all pitch in and make it our rolling mascot, it could be driven to all the meets around the country. If only it were a perfect world, *sighs*.

I still want it, but I think $2000 would be more of a fitting price.

George

Bet zero to sixty is about an hour and a half and that's assuming it will go sixty. I had a '63 190 Dc and it seems like it topped out at about 75.
