Just gotta blow my horn!!
This is not a MB question or topic but rather a personnel acheivement that I want you to know about.
Last Thursday and Friday I attended and passed the finals of PGA schooling/training in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. The tests, simulations, presentation and interview were brutal! After four years and countless hours of work I am now a member of the PGA. I just wanted all of my friends here to know that I have completed the the second of my mid-life crisises, the first was purchasing my Mercedes! Thanks, the bern

Congrats!
I thought you just had to win sanctioned tournaments and apply.

In what capacity are you a member. Do golfers who are PGA members have to go through all that.

I am an assistant golf professional at Heron Ridge Golf Club in Virginia Beach. The schooling I went through will better qualify me to get a head professional position.
As far as the tour players, most of them go through Qualifing school. That consists of 8 rounds of golf. The low 15 get their card the next 50 get aBuy.com playing card. The other 400 go home! Tour players do not go through the schooling that I have, they are 'professional golfers' where as I am a golf professional.

With all the tact, patience, and etiquette training you received I bet you'll get confused with a MB service writer. Congratulations on your milestone!

I offer my most sincere congratulations!
There are moments in life that are really special, and I'm sure that one ranks right up there for you. My moment of triumph was getting out of the Army alive on July 9, 1971. Nothing so grand as being a member of the PGA, but a moment I'll never forget. I hope this moment is as special to you as mine was to me. Happy golf career! |
