Question First Aid Kit Lid

Does anyone still make the lid for the first aid kit on a 123? The one in my car's in fairly bad shape (apparently, someone stepped on it at one point; it was glued back together then my girlfriend accidentally put her weight on it, so it's broken again, and the highes are long-gone), and it'd be nice ot get another one. I assume that any one in used condition would be in roughly the same shape as mine. On a lighter note, I still have the first aid kit...althugh I should look at replacing some of the stuff, given the age. Thanks!

First Aid kits

Warden,

Keep your eyes open for the kits out of the SDs as they are made in Germany, are black which resists Ultraviolet deterioration and have a hinge that goes all the way across the back of the unit. You'll notice that the regular ones are always white or cream and degrade much quicker than the black SD ones.

Every time I see an derelect MB I check for kits. BTW, you might want to always check the inside of the truck lid for the reflector triangle and its little plastic clip bracket. If you find one the clip comes off by pressing downward with the right amount of force, it comes right off.

Ben

Ben, I didn't realize that the triangles went as far back as '85. I didn't think my car ever had one.

I see on the lid...so the lid and the box itself are supposed to be a single unit?

On the same note, I finally got my floor mats steam-cleaned...and, while the carpet cleaned up fairly well, the left front mat is worn to the point where it has a hole. As a result, it has a tendency to get bunched up. Are these available for sale anywhere? I dislike the hole and whatnot; the whole backing's in pretty bad shape (I think these floor mats were just steamed-cleaned for the first time since the car was new, with how dirty the water was), but I'd rather have that than a rubber aftermarket setup...

Thanks!
