Accessories lights stay on when key is off
 

This started happening yesterday. When I turn off my 1984 300TD the motor shuts off and I retrieve the key, but the battery light, brakes light and emergency brake light stay lit. I pulled the negative clamp off the battery so the system wouldn't discharge all night. Any help available? Thanks

With the key out of the switch and in your hot little hand, these lights are still on?...bad "ignition" switch.
