98 E300TD Check Engine

I have a 98 E300TD 43kmiles, after the last service (within 3 days) I started getting a Check Engine - Check Engine Electronics light. This tends to come on after several shorts trips in hot temperatures. When I run the car after the light comes on the turbo doesn't kick in. I let the car sit for 15 to 30 minutes and the turbo is fine. The light will go off after about 24 hours.
Any ideas what could causing this?

dallasdonnie,

I had the light come on and took it to the dealer under warranty. It turned out to be the air mass flow sensor. They changed it while I waited, which was great, and the light went out. I never noticed the turbo being unavailable though. Good Luck, Jim

Thanks, guys. Ordered it, installed it and no problem since. My air filter housing clips are broken and must be put on just right. I now ask the service station not to check. Think I'll make this one my own personal responsibility.

Thanks again,
Donnie
