Unhappy Blower Motor Blues

Hello! Car has been running great. I have been gradually replacing the original fuses with updated glass ones. I repalced the blow motor fuse after it was not seated properly with a new one...thought the problem was fixed..and to my avail it had blow the fuse! I replaced the fuse, and then the blower motor worked again...or until it breaks again....what could be causing this?

Have you checked the condition of the brushes?

Nope...

No I have not checked the brushes...I thought maybe the fan was being clogged or held back...therefore it would work for a while and then as it overheated blew a fuse...I am cleaning it today...
