whats it worth ? 83 300CD

found a 83 300 CD, 116K, blue/tan, sunroof, good body and paint- no rust.

on to the bad things...

car shakes more than my current CD
tranny shifts VERY HARD.
a/c doesnt work at all, wont even blow hot air.
smokes more than my CD
drivers rear window doesnt work at all
interior is not the best.

any ideas/input is appreciated.

anything else i should look for in this car ??

$2000. With all these issues, and the interior condition, chances are it has well over 116K miles.

well, the interior seats are rough i think beacuse the owner is a large man- probably close to 300 lbs., if not more

im trying to find someone that has a carfax so i can check the title and see if there are any discrepancies there.

I sure would like to know what state this car is in. I have been looking for a 123 coupe fixer upper for a while now.

I bet it's going to take a lot of change to fix that one up.

On the seats...My famous fix is to use that durable green foam about 2.5 inches thick. Place it stategically in between the seat springs that are shot. Move it around or fill the whole seat box with it if necessary. Works for me. Saved me a few hundred dollars easy.
Second, if the leather is in bearable shape, buy the dye (not paint) spray cans from world upohlstr. They are on the web. Tell them you want the exact match for your mb color. I used the cans and it looks professionally sprayed..well, actually the seats look just plain great, you wouldn't know they were re-dyed. The dye never wears off or fades as far as I can tell. If you have a bad rip in one seat like I did, get a good used seat from potomac german auto (ask for pat). Apply the above if needed.

To TANK: What's this durable green foam you mentioned for fixing the the seats? My 300D drivers seat lists a little towards the door and I want to do a quick fix just to make it more level and comfortable. Thanks.
