Speedometer Broken????
My speedometer was sticking at 66mph and so I took it out and noticed it was rubbing on the bezel in a couple of places and beginning at 65 it was rubbing continually to the stop (85 on my car).
So I gently bent the needle away from the bezel and reinstalled. During the road test it worked fine, however, this morning on my commute to work the odometer continued to function, but no speedometer reading (stayed on 0). Anyone got any ideas on what I have broken, and how to fix? I will pull it out tonite and inspect.

Well I try not to confess my stupid things but my odometer looked (still looks :-/) like CRAP. It's all nasty, I can hardly read the tenth increment. Well somehow I got around to touching the speedometer needle and for a week or two afterwards it was mad at me. I'd have to hit my dash to get it to pop back on, but over time it's been fine. So your answer to what broke would be the little plastic gears inside if you weren't as fortunate as I was. Good luck....

Yes, I discovered that a sharp wrap to the top of dash gets it going, but if I stop I have the same problem......very strange.
