Oct. 19 in Rockville sounds good to me, it is already in place...but I think one at White post in early Nov. would make it so most people could show to one or the other. I like to drive my car, and would be at both. We need to decide on 1 date, or 2, or even 3 ....I don't care...

I'll check with White Post for a Sat or Sun in early November...
any preference as to day?
If they can accomodate us, I'd really suggest Sunday. |

Maybe we should run a confirm thread on who is going to be there and when?

I might have trouble making the October one but November should not be an issue.

Tank,
Is there a confirm thread yet? Can lowly gas-guzzling Mercs come or is it Diesels Only!? :p Regards, Don

Tank , It moves pretty well given its weight. The original owner bought it for towing capacity. After getting it on the road for the first time since 1981 I nailed it and it tore apart both motor mounts.

beastie, you are going to have to chain that engine down!!
black 1994 c280, I think most folks would like to see ya there! Just watch out for anybody with jack stands and a tool box, they might try to convert that sucker over to a diesel! Seriously though, I would think the more the merry-r! |

My car is scheduled to go in the shop
on October 15th for 1 week. I am getting:
engine shocks, front main seal, oil cooler hoses, trans cooler hoses, 4 new disks, pads, perhaps front calipers, brake hoses, rear diff fluid change, oil change, new fan shroud (old one is cracked).... I think one at White post in early Nov. would make it so most people could show to one or the other. I have never been there and wondering what's there? Can you actually look at the cars? Anyone else up for this? Can we get some simple yea's or nay's in the following posts? Thanks. Let's give it a try... well just got a whole bunch more stuff.. Qty. TX Bill and I went to the trouble of a sticky and no one is replying after 19 views.. Maybe I am being impatient. Is the date wrong guys? We can change it. I am just looking forward to meeting some fellow mb owners.

I will no longer be able to make an October get-together, but November will work so far. I do work some Sundays (don't know which ones in Nov., if any, yet). Looking forward to meeting some other Benz nuts in the DC area!

Sure sflori, I don't know much about white post but I pm'd Jim B+ and hopefully he will post on the rsvp thread above so we know some more detail about the place and if they are in fact open on saturdays or if we need reservations or the just let you in or something. I was thinking around 11am or something but we can narrow that down as we get closer to what everybody wants to do on a time..

VA/DC/MD GTG
I will be there in the non-Mercedes diesel. :p However, it might be helpful to know when and where I am going.
edit: hahaha, just saw the RSVP thread... posting now. Last edited by VeeDubTDI; 10-07-2002 at 03:14 AM. |
