Ern,

Thanks, I hadn't noticed I hit 1000. Yes my starter motor , blower motor, window motor and wiper motor are all cheering and my engine is too.

I noticed you used the term "Key Switch" in one of your recent posts. I hope you learned that from me and that others will learn also.

P.E.,

Are you an English Teacher? Have you been an English Teacher in the past? Did you have a particularly controlling English Teacher while you were in school? Do you have aspirations of being an English Teacher?

I hope you realize that this is just in fun. I enjoy your terminology corrections very much.

Have a great day,

The "Key Switch" thing must have been natural.... never gave it a thought.
My peeve for years has been the "Cement/Concrete" fight. Most people just look at me like I'm crazy. I think they've just about won.

I always thought cement was soft and wet and concrete was hard and dry.

Larry,

No, no, no, no and no. Techincal/ engineering back ground.

I just believe in using correct English and calling devices by their correct technical names creates better understanding between individuals.

I'm also glad my terminology corrections keep you amused.

Wallknight,

Yes, concrete is similar to rocks, but cement is not.

OK....here's the real scoop!.. Concrete is cement, sand, gravel, water and of course time. And it really is linear, so that last ingredient is truly always in short supply!

Diry Ern,

That hasbeen one of my peeves for years too. I always have to tell people that cement is the glue that holds the aggragate together to make concrete.

P.E.H.,

I noticed you forgot to list your OIL MOTOR.

I'm outa here,
Peter

No, PE can't be an English teacher. If he was, he'd be familiar with the fact that the British slang for a car is 'motor' and not 'engine'. As in, "That Mercedes is a really nice motor"

Hey Peter,

I fought that issue for at least 40 years, well it really wasn't a fight... I guess it really is sort of fun, taking someone on over something that really dosen't matter. No way you are ever going get it over anyway. But it kept my "MOTOR" running!!

Say...I get over in your neck of the woods every week or so. I go to Cordelia then accross 12 to 113 up to where it Dog Legs then back to Rio Vista, Antioch, Byron etc. Or the other way around and down 680 to S.J. I wandered into Redlines' factory not too long ago, they are in Benicia. Busy little part of the world!

Ernie
