Random ticking noise at idle...

And only at idle! Engine runs fines lots of power, normal sound on road, but every 3-6 seconds there is a random ticking sound that is coming from the engine compartment..once I drive her there is nothing except that sweet diesel drone...any ideas? Loose belt? Anything to worry about? Hope its not a time chain or something...timing chain looked good when I changed the valve cover gasket..

Could it be the air conditioner compressor? Mine makes a ticking sound sort of. I only notice when I get out and leave it running.
