Exclamation Front passenger window

I'm now at college so I don't drive my car every day. Ussually i just drive it on weekends. 2 weeks ago the drivers side window was being very stubborn. I had to jiggle the switch up and down to get it to finally lower. This week, it jsut gave out. I'm almost 100% sure the switch is not the problem becuase I just put a new one in less than 4 months ago although it isn't impossible. Now when I try to put the window down, the dome light dims but nothing happens. It seems like it might be a problem with the motor . hopefully it isn't becuase i would probably have to take it to the shop if this is the case. Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

The dimming light sign has been the following for me: YMMV. The Bosch window motors are pretty stout fellows, but they sit vertically in the 126 door and if a little "weather" gets in there, the bottom shaft bushing gets downright balky. I've seen this on cars that sat a lot outside without regular use, but could be other reasons (broken regulator jaw, regulator bent). I remove the whole window regulator and clean and lube all of it, then remove the armature from the motor and put a little 3 in 1 into the bushing "pocket". If I remember correctly, there may be a small hole on the exterior of the lower bushing pocket (a dime sized bulge on the very bottom of the motor housing) that you could sneak a little lube into without disassembling the whole thing. Then, while the inner door panel is off, "help" the window up and down a few times, while operating the switch, after lubing. A little silicone spray on the window channels and you're working (Hopefully). This has worked for me several times in the past (OK, maybe 3 times).

I think im gonna tacklethis problem today. I have replaced the rear door check straps and i had to take the door panel off for that. Will this be about as difficukt as that or is there anything i have to watch out for in the front doors?

Same basic technique on the front panel. Watch the seat adjusting switch. There is a small circlip (black plastic) around the main seat switch post after you remove the seat "symbols" from the switch.

I got the panel off and lubed the gears as best I could without removing everything. It still wouldn't work i think its just jammed. how do i get at those gears and the motor effectively wihtout having to take the glass and everything out.

I noticed those bolts but it seemed like when I loosened them, the window glass dropped a little bit. Is all that connected or will I be safe taking to motor out. does anyone have any pictures of this because that would be extremely helpful. thanks
