Glow plug light blinking
My 80 300sd runs fine but in the last couple of days, the glow plug light on the dash blinks instead of staying on steady. The car starts OK.
Does this mean that I have a bad glow plug? Thanks |

DCM,
If your GP circuit has detected an open GP it is working correctly. Do a resistance test on your GP. The one with a different reading than then the others is the bad one. Replace this one. It is not necessary to replace the others. One going bad is no indication that others will follow. P E H |

TxBill,
I'm glad someone agrees that only the bad GP needs to be replaced. Seems the general consensus is to replace all when one goes bad. I like the analogy about the light bulbs. P E H |
