uh-oh, disconnected my vacuum...
 

I disconnected the vacuum actuating the tailgate lock on my 300td while troubleshooting. Now noe of my locks will work...does that mean that none of the other vacuum-assisted functions will work (transmission, etc.) or do I simply have to start the car and run it for a while to replenish the vacuum cells in the rear?

Find the hose you pulled off and replace it where it goes, or plug it.

Won't affect the rest of the system, but your locks won't work. Probably you pulled it off the actuator in the tailgate, or broke the line going from the body to the gate.
