I changed the oil on my 1981 300SD this weekend. I have a Question about the oil filters. The filter came with 2 rubber O-ring type gaskets and 2 washers (one silver one copper). When I took out the old filter I could only find one gasket. What is the second one for ?? It's a little smaller than the one that fits on the cap of the filter. What are the two washers for, one silver, one copper?? Just making sure I didn't miss something. Oil was not leaking after I put it all back together.
