Where can I get a detailed parts catalog?
Hi,
My 300D needs a lot of random parts here and there that FastLane doesn't carry. I'd like to be able to use the PartsShop, but that store works best when you have the MB parts numbers which I don't have. Where can I get a factory printed (or third party duplicated) parts catalog that would have MB parts numbers for those really obscure "unimportant parts?" (trimming pieces, switches, etc.) Thanks a lot for the help! Alex

I picked up one of the "parts" catalogs off of ebay. It does not have the part numbers but what I do is find the part I need and call it in to my friend at the dealer who will look it up for me after I tell them the page reference number and the item number on that page.

Like I always support, "there is no finer authority than your local Mercedes Benz Center." Just call them up, describe the part, give the VIN, they will tell you a number....

Mercedes-Benz no longer makes the parts manuals in print form. However a CD version is avalible for around $100.00

Look up
www.************************ and order a catalog that corresponds to your car. You'll be impressed with the detail and easy to order stuff. Once you identify parts, you can then choose to order from them or fastlane or whoever Don

You can also get a copy of the Mercedes EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog), which is what the dealers use. There are bootleg copies sold on eBay (CD-R's) for ~$20 a set (two discs). They are not user-friendly... normally Mercedes sends their parts guys to a week or two of training to learn how to use all the EPC functions. But once you figure it out it is AWESOME. Prices are included too, which is a big help.
