Hey, Newbie, it was just dumb luck and there are plenty of people who wouldn't think it was a deal. Still pretty high risk with 367,000 miles on it when I bought it, but it's turning out to be a great car. Someone must have taken good care of it before it got the the most recent previous owner. They're out there, you just have to be quick to jump when one shows up! F

BBB,
I'm afraid RG5384 has been a field agent way too long. He's not aware of the fact that information on the ALDA has been downgraded and automatically declassified after 7 years: we're calling him back for refresher training on office procedure. All you have to do is file the 5 page request form with our office with the standard $7.50 document fee, which goes to the President's subterfuge fund. An explaination will be sent to you in the form of a thread post. Awaiting your request, Peter

Peter,
Are you sure this isn't another Democratic fund raising scam? Ben |

What exactly IS an ALDA anyway?
Where is it? What does it do? What maintenance is required to keep this mysterous acronym/device maintained? |

Fred Burgess - If I had an RT1100 I probably would not need either the 888 or the 123. However, it is rainy up here this time of year, and my rain gear is old and leaky, so I need the Mercedes.
And with the RT I would not have to worry about strange noises. Those things dont make ANY noise... Some noises are enjoyable. Remember the exhaust note of your old Duc? Oddly, I actually find the monotonous steady clatter of a diesel to be sort of comforting and reassuring. Noises are like a pulse - when they change things are not right. |
