a/c problem became less strange
I posted a while ago, about the fact that my a/c will sometimes come on, and sometimes not. There didn't seem to be any pattern, as I had only owned the car for 2 days. Having driven it a few more days, the pattern began to emerge: the a/c comes on the first time I start the car.
Every morning (and sometimes evening if it gets enough rest), the a/c will work. So, for example, Sunday morning it worked on the way to church, but then it didn't work the rest of the day. Same thing Monday, yesterday and today... works after having rested. On my way home from work, after it's rested 8 hours, it also works. So this leads me to believe that the blower motor overheats or something, and it needs time to cool down in order to start again. This is just an educated guess, as I have little expertise in the matter. Any yeas or nays? |
a/c stuff
In what mode are you operating the a/c, manual or full auto? If you are in full auto the a/c and blower will go on and off in relation to what the temp control wheel is set at and the actual interior temp of the cabin and will automatically cycle to maintain the set temp.In manual mode
( hi or low speed fan button pressed on) the blower will run continuously no matter what the temp wheel is set at. |
I have the top fan button (I think that's high) pressed. But even if it was automatic... I live in Florida, the cabin gets hotter than hell, and the a/c still doesn't run :)
