Can you tell me if it is possible to replace the diaphragm by releasing the catches on the module taking the back section off and leaving the damper control arm attached? I can definitely get my fingers around the module and feel the catches so I would be inclined to try to take it apart through the glovebox without removing the dash. If its possible to do it that way and a person had a module to practice with before tackling the one under the dash, it seems possible.

That is exactly what I was going to try to do.
But now that I have done the process, the dash removal was easier than trying that kind of process. |
