I am completely dumbfounded. I finally took off the door covers (who designed that piece of crap?? if I could get my hands on that Kraut.... ), and I still don't know if I need a new motor, new regulator, or new regulator arm. The front window will not close all the way up leaving about 1/8" gap on top, with the window making taptaptap noise (the noise was there for about a year-looked like the regulator did not know that it should stop). If I pull it by hand to the top, it will not open without a push. I don't see what a regulator arm would have to do with it.

The rear window (just let me have that SOB who decided to GLUE the plastic hooks to a cardboard backing of the upholstery...) will not budge. I checked the switch, and the power does get to the window, so it's probably motor, but is it possible that the regulator just froze ???

Can I check any of the above w/o taking the whole window out???
