Keeping heat control in on position upon startup..
Will this make any difference in the ease of the start? Or does it bod down the systems by drawing current from battery that could go to the starter?

I don't think the heat control has any positive impact on starting. I would say negative due to what you mentioned as a draw on the battery. Don

Isn't the power cut to everything when you are cranking the engine? I know my radio doesn't play when I crank it.... haven't noticed the fan etc.
