Yankee Diesel Dandy
I just recieved the October issue of Mercedes Enthusiast and in it is the article called" Yankee Diesel Dandy". It's an article about MB diesel cars in America.
I thought it is kind of interesting that they talked about diesel cars they exported to America, but made no mension of the 350sdl!! Do you suppose this was no accident?!!! |
i hit every worthwhile newstand in a 15 mile radius looking for that issue. wasn't to be found.
would it be asking too much for someone to scan it and post it? |
I just got it this week. Didn't even know there was such a magazine till I heard about it here. None of the book stores in town carry it so I had to order it from the pubisher.
It's pretty neat, I think I'm going to subscribe. It's a little expensive though. |
Hi...Borders seems to carry it pretty broadly...
Mine was one of the cars featured. A British mag, they're running articles like this to try and build an American reader base. Now, if copies of the mag were only more broadly available in America!

hey bill,
i just set up a group over at Yahoo (did it on the fly, there may be errors): - - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mbdiesel/ - - bill, to add your scans, you'll need to "Join This Group" - hope you have a Yahoo ID and password. after you've joined, click on "Files" - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mbdiesel/files/ click on "Add File" - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mbdiesel/sfupld?path=/ for those who just want to view the scans, there is no need to "Join This Group" - i set it up for public access. i uploaded a test file, a vacuum schematic that someone posted here earlier. looks like it'll work... |
Must be missing something: Don't see any MB article...
|
thanks for your efforts, bill. take your time, there's no rush on my end...
