Question on the emergency shut off... don't worry NOT another vacuum question!
It appears my emergency shut off 'button' has been removed and never put back on. There are bare levers with the ball ends that look like something once went on them in the place where the owner's manual shows the button (in between the largest opening in the intake manifold). I am pretty sure it is the emergency shut off...
So for my question... Is it OK to use that emergency shut off while the key is in the 'run' position? It shuts off fine with the key, but I am just wondering. Also can I purchase a new emergency shut off button from somewhere?

The shut-off lever should have no problem shutting the engine with the key in "run". It should stall out/cut off the fuel with no problems. As far as a new button, call the dealer???? Good luck!

Nate, that thingy with a ball on end is NOT your shutoff switch. The switch is on the side of the shutoff valve away from the engine block. It's probably covered in grease and virtually invisible. After my shutoff valve died it took me 15 minutes (with the owner's manual) to find it. You really need a screw driver or something thin with a long handle to reach it. get a flashlight and look again between the shutoff valve and the air cleaner mounting.
