Water in 123D euro headlights!

Hello everyone!

I just happened to look intently on my headlight while it was set on parklight and that's when I saw it... there are water droplets inside! It wasn't quite visible when the headlights are on and it does not seem to have a marked effect as regards brightness. But then, water aint suppose to be there! Im sure that over time, it can corrode whatever metal is present inside the headlight assembly, and perhaps even ruin the reflector! How did it get in there (its been raining here)? I suppose these headlights have seals? Can I just remove the back cover then operate the lights so that the heat can help evaporate the water droplets inside?

Quite common for the seal to allow water between the lens & headlight housing. The lens should be removed & the seal replaced.

Also check the seals on the back of the headlight where the cover snaps in.

also make sure the glass peice that covers the lense is not cracked or have any holes. that happened to mine and i bought a new glass peice at CapitolWest for $60. then i also purchased stongard film to protect the lenses from chipping and pitting. i love the stongard, esp its warranty.
