I'm a 1st time MB owner as of 7days ago. and new to this forum.

I was replacing my Bosch wiper blade, I pulled up on the wiper arm to move it out away from the windshield, but now it seems to be locked in that position. I can't put it back down against the windshield. Is there some sort of release button? Idon't want to push to hard and break something. What am I doing wrong to put the arm back down on the windshield?

Your help is appreciated!
Thanks
Jeff N

Don't know what to tell ya, mine goes up and down from the windshield pretty smoothly. It's usually one of those things that I'm afraid it comes back down too easily. I have to make sure I don't bump it when it's up or it will come crashing down.

This is a single arm system, if that helps. I've taken off the old blade. I can see two springs, a U shaped wire that goes thru a metal clip between the two springs. But can't see what's keeping the arm from going back down.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks for your reply. It told me that they just flop back down-same as other cars. and that there was no release button.
I decided maybe it was just coroaded enough that it wouldn't buge. A little WD40 later, and with the same amount of effort as before, and the arm snapped sharply into its proper position.
Thanks
