I'm not a virgin anymore!! Finally driven a diesel!!
Engatwork let me test drive the 83 300D he is selling for a friend. My impression was that with a little TLC this car would be a good buy. I was impressed with the construction of the car. Now I understand why yall call them 'tanks'! Somebody buy it cause the wife says 5 cars is enough!!
I was really impressed with his 82 though! Car looked great and apparently handled that way too. I followed him for about four miles in city traffic and residential curvy streets, and I think the wife's Buick GSE was yawing more than his MB! Doggonit! Now I may have to have one of these too! I already want an SL!! Hmmmmn..... An all MB stable??? To be continued...... Thanks Jim! A most pleasant afternoon! |

Stephen, get double your pleasure and buy two!
One 107 SL, and one 123 or 124 diesel.

I can understand the passion!!
I believe that had a 500e pulled up at Jim's house, Jim would have convinced the owner he needed to drive one of those D's!!:p And believe me, in Mr. Jimmy's driveway, he would have had a choice!!
